The 74th Legacy Governor’s Golf Cup took place on Friday 8th September at Glenelg Golf Club, the permanent home of the event.

It was held in very difficult and cold conditions, with strong southwesterlies sweeping across the course and a couple of sudden, sharp squalls. Despite such testing conditions, two golfers tied on 42 points, with Paul Tinson of Mawson Lakes Golf Club winning on a count-back from Glenelg’s Club Captain, Imelda Lynch. Josh Smith from Lucindale Golf Club came in third on 41 points.

A fine lunch afterwards was enjoyed by 80 players and guests, with Legacy’s President. Rob Eley and Glenelg’s President, Helen McMutrie presenting the trophy and prizes.

Glenelg’s CEO, Robert Vincekovic and Club Professional, Shane Robinson, oversaw a terrific event in difficult conditions and with the largest field ever of 139 players.
