Legatee Legatees are the backbone of Legacy and deliver the vast majority of our services. A Legatee is a volunteer member who makes a personal commitment to assist the families of those who gave their lives or health to their country. The majority of Legatees are veterans who recognise the military service values, culture and commitment of Legacy in serving the families of their mates. Legacy also values mature members of the general community as Legatees who can bring broad-based life skills and empathy in caring for the Legacy Families. There are currently approximately 3400 Legatees throughout Australia, some having served Legacy for more than 50 years. Legacy welcomes inquiries from all people who share our ideals and values. Safeguarding the interests of dependents, especially children, is a service worth rendering. Personal effort is the main essential. Inasmuch as these are the activities of Legacy, it is our privilege to accept the legacy of the fallen. Manage Cookie Preferences
