Help us support the families of our Veterans this Legacy Week. Keep an eye out for our volunteers at your local shopping centre and the streets between 1 - 7 September 2024.

The Legacy Week appeal has been running since the 1940’s and is a time for all Australians to show their support for the widows and children whose loved ones have served our country.

Lest we forget. Each Anzac Day, we pause in recognition of members of the Australian Defence Force who made the ultimate sacrifice. We are also reminded that when the guns fall silent, there are families within our community who still live with the loss of a parent or partner. Your tax-deductible donation will commemorate Anzac Day in an especially meaningful way and directly support your local community.

Donated funds are used in a variety of ways to support the unique needs of the families Legacy assists. This includes things like providing child care assistance to a widow so she can continue to go to work, help with school fees or social activities like gymnastics classes, or provide meals for kids at local Legacy Youth Camps held annually.

The Legacy Story

Legacy's history begins in the Great War of 1914-18. Legacy is a voluntary organisation supported by veterans, servicemen and women, and volunteers drawn from all walks of life. Our support and services now extend to include the dependants of members of today's Australian Defence Force who lose their lives or are incapacitated as a result of their military service.
